Norfolk Broads Photography Course
Des is a nature and wildlife photographer based in the East Midlands. Although much of his work is of British species, his portfolio also includes work from other parts of the world - from the humid rainforest in Borneo to the arid desert of Arizona.
Apart from regional competitions, Des' most recent success was being highly commended in the British Wildlife Photography Awards in 2010. This year, he is a finalist in the Veolia Environment (formerly BBC) Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, as well as a semi-finalist in the European Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. He is also once again short-listed in the British Wildlife Photography Awards. All the competitions are still on-going.
Des' work can be seen in various publications and commercial use. His fine art prints are also available though galleries, art fairs, and online exclusive from his website: www.desong.co.uk He regularly conducts workshops for photographers of all levels. He also gives presentations to natural history and photographic groups nationally.
Arrive meet & greet at 11am, early lunch 12-1pm. After lunch, up to 1 hour of introduction to photography - camera functions, theories like composition etc. 2pm-4pm, bird of prey workshop. Break/free time - use techniques learnt and explore Fairhaven. Dinner at 6.30-7.30pm. 8pm, photo review/critique.
Canoe trip for early-risers at 6-7.30am. Breakfast from 8-9am. Macro photography from 9.30-11am. An early lunch and then course ends.
