This trail launches from Buxton (just above Coltishall) and takes in an upper section of the River Bure, one of the quietest and most beautiful stretches of river in the county.
As the river meanders gently through Norfolk farmland you will pass by Buxton Church and Oxnead Hall before arriving at Oxnead Mill Pool. This stretch of the river is exceptional for wildlife spotting with regular sightings of Kingfishers, Herons and even Otters.
There is lots of wildlife to been seen as you paddle along the beautiful River Bure, both within the waters and above. In addition to the stunning scenery and wildlife, there's also lots of history to soak up on your journey as you pass by the magnificent Oxnead Hall, home to the CEO of Fortnam & Mason, which is now a stunning events venue.
Please Note - This trail involve a short, half mile, walk between the car park and the launch site.
Please be aware there is no-where for you to leave your personal items. A dry bag will be provided for you to carry these with you on your trip.
